Labels: HealthMy molar is acting up -- the ata molar which is alive n capped within a crown is aching for the past few days intermitently....it is a nagging ache that is throbbing n throbbing but the pain is not sufficiently to keep me awake at night but it is a nuisance still....
Managed a small miracle - called the dentist n managed to get an appointment this afternoon.... but the bad news is the crown is probably leaking somewhere and bacteria managed to get inside n attacking the molar so the molar might be dying slowly inside - that is why I am feeling the pain ... the only course is to 1. do root cancel treatment 2. redo a new crown. The cost is a bomb around $2000 and I need a specialist to do it since my molar is not upright, it is slanted...
Reluctant to spend this type of money now so bearing with the pain for now....sob
Was sickly in Jan, adjusting to new boss and also a mad rush to clear work cos of 2 holiday trips in Jan 10...so has no time and sort of neglected MeiMei...think MeiMei felt it keenly and was kinda distant from me too....she did not cuddle close once in a while like she used to do so in the evening and during bedtime, she clamored for play time and attention...
Finally the trip came and I really missed my little impish brat...mightly glad that I took leave after the second leave (Hong Kong trip) and stayed at home for 3 days in the week then the weekend and then Monday supposely to spend time with the latest newcomer to the family - MunMun but being at home n not sickly also mean that I got to spend quality time with my trio...luckily this time MeiMei's mood did not dip with the arrival of MunMun and she was beri happy go lucky...
With the addtion of Mun, I come to realise that the gals mean differently to me...MeiMei is still the one that tugs at my hear most althought she is the most noti n bad-tempered, Mitao is catching up in importance as she is very affectionate n endearing but I knows I hurt most and is the most anxious and worried when MeiMei is unwell...Mun is an obedient n quick witted gal. Although she is MiTao's age, her behaviour mirrors that of MeiMei. I dun think she is gonna able to take over MeiMei's position in my heart. Till now, I am still puzzled why on earth I asked to take her in as she is not my type of colouring n I am usually level-headed as I know it is impossible to save all and I have already lots on my plate...Fate really works in mysterious ways...
Labels: VacationJanuary is a hectic month with 2 trips line-up to Macau then barely 2 weeks later to hong Kong...yes In have not typed wrongly --- crazy right to go Macau then come back n then go again to Hong Kong...lesson learn : never act on impulse and go crazy when airline is having promotion!!!
Macau trip was nice with good food and great buys...best of all Jo dragged me to a shoe shop n bullied me into trying boots..she got sick of me lamented that my fat feet cannot fit into any boot heee...anyway I finally managed to get 2 pairs of boots - expensive thot (why she cannot drag me into a cheaper shoe shop but got to bring me into a leather shoe shop!!! The boots are really really comfy for frquent walk - brought 1 pair with me for Hong Kong trip and I had absolutely no problem watching long distance...
Hong Kong trip was also enjoyable but the weather was a severe grave disappointment - winter time but so hot, so hot...nevertheless it was great to see for once navigator Jo loss with direction (wicked me) and we have to guide her around...she was hopeless with chinese characters... managed to locate a shop selling colourful gyspy/patchwork type clothings and we really went wild trying n bying thought the clothing not that cheap and also I carted home 12 pieces of my dream GP cage filter layers ....
me miss the roasted goose n pigeon...yummy yummy...when we go again to Hong Kong/Macau??
Labels: VacationIn BKK again after barely 2 months from previous visit in Sep 09 as the craving was too great for us to resist booking another trip soon after our return from previous visit...
But this trip was really tiring -- maybe because I was still nursing a cold/cough and maybe because I wore the wrong footwear but I was really really tired and could barely walk as my foot hurt every step I took....
The all gal group this time was fun ---- Jac was the perpetual blur sotong, Jo was the savvy seasoned old traveller and LP was the ata shopper and food gourmet who wanted to sqeeze in as many meals as possible in a day...
Platinum replaced MBK as the fave shopping place as I was there practically daily as our big tees shop bought in new designs on a daily basis so nid to be there for all the 4 days...total count of tees and working tees = 19 = dun wow , think jac got more than me..heeeee
Also my shorts also got from there -- got one from MBK at the last trip and it was way more ex than platinum
In short, Platinum is the place for shopping for cheapo me...MBK is out but still will go MBK cos of ice monster and MK steamboat
Makan wise, me think me not adventurous at all and plain cheapo...still loves the dark thai pork noodle and the chinatown stall noodle and the last nite-the road side stalls purchases of bbq sotong, crepe, fried wings and fried kuay tiao was pure heavenly....LP brought us to Greyhound italian/thai fusion restaurant and to me, this is a letdown...
I love Novotel Siam still and finally tipped my fave bellboy--heeeeeee
Labels: VacationBack from BKK for a mere 3 days and we are all suffering from withdrawal and pangs of longing for BKK again....
Called Jo yesterday to tell her that I have urge to fly back over weekend and she exclaimed that why we all share the same thoughts and say the same things...Jane and Ching Xiang too told her the same thing....decided that she will be on look out for good deal to slot in another trip before our Mar trip next year to BKK...
This morning, already e-mail from her = $165 including 20 kg lugguage charges.... so fast hand n leg we booked already for Nov trip from 11-14....for me, jac, jo and LP....
shhh...mm, mt and my mom are going to kill me...heeeeee

Morning wake up to go Chinatown for bird nest again....love the bird nest in coconut - it is still the best....then to Platinum for more buying of tees and exchange of my over sized jean shorts....
Then it is back to pack and then check out of hotel - did all this in record time and had a quick lunch at the small shop opp hotel again then rush to do hair treatment and leg message at a new salon....whew finished all these within the 2 hours we have left in BKK....
Left hotel to go to airport at 4.45pm....the cabbie is a character...he has a malay name and speak fluent malay, really fluid and rattering on and on thot we told him we dun understand much ...he said he is Thai and he enjoys babi too much and sayang if he is a malay...heeeee...he is a bizman and network with us and said he can drive us around next time we are in BKK...offers us a good rate too and also to pick us up from airport....jo kept the useful contact
Fianlly found one good makan place inside the airport.... i enjoy my salmon beri beri much .....
Was very tired and slept thru the flight back thot not as deeply as the flight inward....
Lucky aksed Jo to get chin to drive me home too so after check out of airport, it was very quickly home sweet home .... mm pined for me and was a bit thinner...she was wild barking and jumping up and down when I reached home...while mt kept lying back on floor and waving her 4 limbs wildly in the air wanting me to give her belly rubs....played and carried them for a while before I too knocked out ...leaving the packing to the morning afterwards...
Labels: VacationThe ear candling must be too good -- i did not have a good nite sleep and woke up this morning very grouchy....
Went to Chutuchak weekend market. Happy that this time pet area got Revolution and grabbed 10 packs --- 3 for jac and 7 for mm n mt....even got the seller's contact : can contact to reserve stuff before next trip to BKK....
The cab trips were killer as got tpt jam but anything was preferable than the long bridge climb...
FiNALLY made it to Ice Monster for my mango /mashmellow on my THIRD day at Bkk...sob...polished 1 small mango/mashmellow on my own and share a second one --- chocolate ice monster with jac and jo....while waiting for the other taxi to arrive which was nearly 30 mins later....they got caught in even worse tpt jam than us!!!!
Went to MK for second round of duck and steamboat for lunch before heading to MBK for medi/pedi/hair touch up....
For dinner, we made way back to chinatown to eat at roadside stall....seafood dinner was good and rather cheap for big prawns, oysters, sweet n sour fish etc......
Did not do anymore massage for the nite as my legs are blue blakc from massage...
